WHY DOES THIS WEBSITE EXIST?
India, as a deeply religious and traditional country, often faces challenges in embracing modernity. New humanitarian ideas are frequently dismissed as 'Western concepts,' which hinders progress in various aspects of society. This mindset has had a significant impact on the Indian education system, politics, people's lifestyle, as well as the rights and inclusion of marginalized groups such as women, the LGBTQ+ community, religious minorities, and lower-caste communities. This website aims to raise awareness against these regressive beliefs and promote a more rational, inclusive, and progressive India—making it a more just and livable society for all.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to explore a wide array of topics, predominantly focused on science and rationality. We aim to engage and educate our audience by providing insightful content that fosters a deeper understanding of the world around us.

CONTRIBUTORS
Omer Ebrahim
Omer Ebrahim’s journey has been anything but conventional. Born in Ahmedabad and now based in Surat, Omer’s life has taken him from corporate offices to the heart of advocacy for marginalized communities. He’s someone who never stops questioning the world around him.
His career began in Mumbai, where he worked as a content writer for a company that provided just enough stability to keep him moving. But Omer has always been driven by more than just a paycheck. A trip to the U.S. became a turning point when he took a short course in Sexuality Education at the University of Michigan. This wasn’t just another program; it sparked something much deeper. It pushed Omer to see sexuality not as a peripheral issue, but as a core part of human identity—especially for those whose voices are often silenced.
Back in India, Omer dove into working with the hijra (transgender) community. He wasn’t just offering help from a distance; he got right into the thick of things. Whether it was advocating for adoption rights or hiring lawyers to defend transgender victims of sexual violence, Omer committed himself to making real change. But soon, reality hit—change takes money. That’s when he made a practical decision: he joined Indegix, a pharmaceutical marketing company, to fund the causes that mattered to him.
Omer’s work didn’t stop at his job or even his community activism. He began blogging to reach a wider audience, tackling subjects most people shy away from—sexuality, atheism, and the societal issues many prefer to ignore. In Bengaluru, he helped form a group of like-minded atheists who wanted a platform, free from judgment. He even found himself involved in the anti-natalist movement, which raises tough ethical questions about the very act of having children.
With an MBA in Marketing and an MA in Mass Communication, Omer is someone who understands how to navigate the corporate world while staying true to his values. He’s never just been about making noise; he’s about making a difference, quietly but steadily challenging the norms that hold society back.
Omer’s story isn’t about grandstanding or empty slogans. It’s about a guy who saw the world around him, didn’t like everything he saw, and decided to do something about it—one step at a time.
Azim Shaikh

Azim Shaikh is a teacher by profession, but at heart, he’s always been a writer. With over three years of teaching experience, ranging from primary school to junior college, he’s seen firsthand the power of education. His writing journey began as a way to share that passion, contributing articles to various websites with a focus on education, though his curiosity and insights often took him beyond just that topic.
Azim Shaikh holds an M.Sc. in Biotechnology and a B.Sc. in Biochemistry, along with a B.Ed. His academic background reflects his deep commitment to learning, but it’s his work in the field that truly defines him. He spent time working with an NGO in Vadodara, guiding and teaching underprivileged children, an experience that left a lasting impact on him. Later, he took on a role as an officer in the fermentation department of a pharmaceutical company. However, the demands of the job meant sacrificing his time for writing, something he wasn’t willing to give up.
Realizing that his true calling lay in education and writing, Azim Shaikh returned to the academic world, this time with a focus on creating educational content. He now runs two YouTube channels—indieEducation Channel and Gujarati-ink—where he shares his knowledge and passion for learning with a wider audience. Despite his many commitments, Azim Shaikh continues to contribute generously to this blog, offering his articles without any commercial gain.
